Every kid needs a champion: Rita Pierson

I was first introduced to this video during an internship seminar, and needless to say, it brought me to tears. Every kid needs a champion, and as educators, we should all strive to never give up on any of our students. There will be times where it becomes difficult to have that mentality. However, we must remind ourselves to value human connection. Every child that enters our classroom must know that we will never give up on them.
